Inventory allows you to conduct inventory audits to help you identify any inventory discrepancies in your store.
To start an inventory audit, tap on INVENTORY tab in the left sidebar and then select AUDITS. Next tap on the + button and a NEW AUDIT window will appear. Your name (the currently signed-in account) will appear as the employee and by default, the Audit name is the current date. Next, you’ll need to specify whether you wish to conduct an audit for all products, or a custom audit. If you select a custom audit, you will need to select the specific product categories that you wish to audit.
When you’re ready to begin the audit, tap on START AUDIT. Once the audit has begun, you will be able to expand each product category to review the individual product listed, their count based on actual count versus expected and any differences in the count. Any discrepancies for any product will appear in the MISSING UNITS / EXTRA UNITS field and the actual differences for a specific product will be shown in the DIFFERENCE column:
To show only products with inventory discrepancies, you can tick the ONLY SHOW PRODUCTS WITH DISCREPANCIES (1) checkbox. Additional audit parameters include specifying only LIVE STOCK, ACTUAL STOCK, and STOCK AT START.
To edit your audit, you can tap on the EDIT button (2). If you wish to export your audit to a CSV file, you can tap on the DOWNLOAD button (3) and a CSV file will be saved to your computer. Lastly, once you have completed the audit, tap on the FINISH button (4).
IMPORTANT: Please note that when conducting an inventory update, any updates your your inventory will not be visible until AFTER the inventory audit has been completed. You will also be prompted with a system message asking you to double check your audit before completing it.
