The Parked-Pending column on your Orders screen allows you to pause an existing customer order. This is ideal to use if an in-person customer has items added to the POS basket but is not ready to checkout for whatever reason. By parking the customer’s order, you’ll be able to tend to another customer and process their purchase without having to cancel the previous customer’s basket.
All Parked-Pending orders can be completed at a later time when the respective customer is ready to checkout their order.
To park an order, tap on the three (3) green dots in the upper right corner of the customer cart and a drop-down menu will appear. Park Order allows you to park the current order displayed. From here, you can also change the customer to view or add to their cart by tapping on CHANGE CUSTOMER, and then inputting their name, phone number or email address in the search bar. Once you’ve parked the cart, it will automatically appear in the Parked-Pending column. By default, orders will be displayed newest or most recently placed order first.
When a Parked-Pending order is selected, the order details will be shown in the right panel of the screen. In this panel, you will see the items in the order, the SKU, brand, quantity and price. You can adjust the quantity using the + or - buttons. Tapping on the UP arrow will expand the pull-up menu and allow you to view the total weight, order subtotal, new subtotal, applied tax and order total.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the Parked-Pending screen will not show online carts currently in progress.
