The Delivery screen is where you’ll configure and maintain your delivery options for your business. This section is divided into three (3) sections: Delivery Setting, Delivery Zones and Delivery Hours.
This article will look at configuring your Delivery Settings through the Merchant Dashboard.
Clicking on the Delivery category in the left sidebar will - by default - display Delivery Setting. Here, you can enable or disable the deliveries for your store but also configure the following settings:
Ordering Options allows you to specify whether you allow online ordering as soon as possible (ASAP) or scheduled ordering. If your location accepts ASAP ordering, mark the ASAP checkbox.
Scheduled Ordering allows you to define the following parameters:
Time Slots: This is the select interval of time a customer can place an order for. For example, if you specify 15 minutes, then a customer can place an order at every 15 minute interval in an hour such as 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, etc. If you specify 45 minute intervals, then every open time slot for accepting online orders will be spaced at 45 minute intervals.
Order Prep Time defines how much time your staff requires to prepare orders for pickup. This setting is used to prevent order when time slots are full. For example, if you specify 30 minutes, this means that a customer must place their order for a scheduled time slot with at least 30 minutes advance notice so that your staff will have time to prepare the order and have it ready for the specified pickup time.
Orders per timeslot allows you to set the maximum number of orders that can be placed in each timeslot to control the flow of your orders. For example, if you specify a maximum of five (5) orders per time slot; this means that every time slot can only accept five customer orders. If a sixth order is attempted to be placed for a time slot that already has received five orders, the customer for that sixth order will not be able to finalize the order.
Advance Ordering allows you to set how many calendar days in advance customers can place an advance order. For example, if you set a value of 2 days, this means that a customer can place an order with your store two days in advance. Please note that this option can be set for up to three (3) days.
After Hours Ordering allows you to set if and when your store can receive orders if the store is currently closed.
Payment Methods Displayed to Customer allows you to specify what types of payment methods are accepted. Currently, you can specify Pay Online, At the Door - Debit & Credit and At the Door - Cash.
