How do I configure my tablet's onscreen keyboard?

Updated over 2 years ago

Step 1: First, from your Samsung tablet's home screen, find and select the SETTINGS app:

Step 2: Tap on Language and Input (Note: Depending on your model of Samsung tablet, this may also be listed under your tablet's General Management settings:

Step 3: Tap on Onscreen Keyboard (Note: Depending on your model of Samsung tablet, this may also be listed under on your tablet as Keyboard List and Default. Alternatively, if you have the option Samsung Keyboard Settings displayed, you can just select that.)

Step 4: Tap on Samsung Keyboard, Keyboard Toolbar should be enabled.

(Note: Your Samsung Keyboard should be listed as the default keyboard. If you have multiple keyboard plugins installed on your Samsung tablet, please enable your Samsung Keyboard as the default keyboard.

If you wish to change your keyboard appearance to a more comfortable level of display, you can change its theme by doing the following:

Step 5: Scroll down on this screen to Style and Layout.

Step 6: Select Theme to change your keyboard style. (NOTE: If Theme option is shaded out and cannot be selected, Dark Mode is currently enabled on your tablet. If you wish to disable Dark Mode, you can do so by going to the tablet's Display Settings from the Settings app, and disabling Dark Mode.)
