How do I access my Tendy POS settings?

Accessing POS settings to configure your general settings, payment terminals and scanner devices

Updated over 2 years ago

Located in the upper-right corner of the screen is the SETTINGS button. Tapping on this button will display a settings popup that allows you to access the POS device settings, cash management, or app help. To hide the settings popup, simply tap on the SETTINGS gear again, or tapping anywhere on the screen.

Tapping on Settings will allow you to view or adjust general settings for your POS station, or view your currently assigned Payment Terminal, or Scanner Devices.

Under GENERAL SETTINGS, Lock Screen Timeout (1) displays the currently set time that the Tendy POS app will timeout from being idle for a certain amount of time. By default, this is set to 30 minutes.

POS Stations (2) displays the name of the respective POS station. If your store has more than one Tendy POS station, you can tap on this field to expand a drop-down list that will allow you to select another POS station to view its general settings.

Printer (3) displays the current printer connected to your POS terminal.

Payment Terminal (4) displays the payment gateway that is currently associated to your Tendy POS program. Tapping on the slider switch allows you to enable, or disable the payment terminal. Please note that In order to make changes to your payment terminal, you will need to access the Tendy POS Merchant Dashboard.

Scanner Devices (5) displays the current payment scanner device that is connected to your Tendy POS system. To add a scanner device, simply tap on + ADD and the program will automatically detect all Bluetooth-enabled, Zebra-compatible devices.

NOTE: If the program requests permission to enable location before scanning for devices, please accept.
