Need to make a bank deposit or take cash out for a delivery? The Move Cash feature in the Tendy POS app makes it easy to track and manage cash movements from your till. This article will walk you through the simple steps.
Accessing the Move Cash Feature
On the main Tendy POS screen, tap the Settings gear icon located in the upper-right corner.
From the dropdown menu that appears, select Cash Management.
On the Cash Management screen, tap the Move Cash button. A new panel will appear on the right side of the screen.
Specifying the Reason for Moving Cash
Once the "Move Cash" panel appears, you'll need to choose a reason for the cash movement from one of three options:
Cash Drop: Use this option when you are preparing cash to deposit into your bank account.
Transfer Cash: Select this when you are moving cash from one POS till to another, for instance, to provide change to another POS station that is low on a certain bill denomination.
Pay Out: Choose this when you need to remove cash for incidentals, such as paying for a delivery or petty cash.
Completing the Cash Move
Select the appropriate reason for the cash movement.
Input the exact amount of cash you are moving.
Tap the Confirm button to finalize the transaction.
And that's it! The Tendy POS app will automatically update your cash count to reflect the movement, helping you keep accurate records of your cash flow.
