Promotions allows you to set up sale events where a discounted rate may apply to select products.. For example, if you want to create a special week-long sale with a discount applicable to all oil products, you can set that sale up in advance here. To create a promotion, click on the PROMOTIONS tab in the left sidebar under PRODUCTS and then select the PROMOTIONS tab shown at the top of the screen. This will display any discounts that you have currently created, what the discount applies to, the value of the discount, the applicable user type, and lastly, the start and end date for the discount.
To create a new promotion, tap on the + button and a popup window will appear, requiring you to input the following information for the new promotion that you wish to create:
Name is the name of the promotion.
Locations is the location(s) that the promotion will be applicable to.
Description is used internally, this helps your staff understand the purpose of the promotion.
Value allows you to specify whether the promotion provides a percentage or dollar value discount.
Status allows you to enable or disable the promotion.
Participating Items allows you to define which items the promotion is applicable to. For example, if you wish to limit your discount code to only be applicable to Pre-Rolls only for a special one-day sale, you can specify that here.
Start and End Date allows you to set a specific duration for the promo code to be active. Please note that you can also allocate the promotion to a specific day in the week.
Schedule allows you to set whether the promotion runs all day, or a specific set time.
Once you have inputted all the necessary information to create your new promotion, click on SAVE and your new promotion will appear on the promotions list.
