How do I apply a promo code, or other discount to a customer's order?

To apply a promotional code or discount rate to a Parked-Pending order, you can tap on the UP ARROW in the shopping cart to expand the cart details and then select the PROMOTIONS & DISCOUNTS button:

Next, you can select the promo code tab and do the following:

  • Select the Pre-Set discounts tab where you can select and apply a relevant discount

  • Select the Custom discount tab and create your own discount on the fly

    • You can then apply the discount to the entire cart or individual items

    • You can then add notes so your manager knows what the discount was for

IMPORTANT: Please note that when a discount and loyalty points are used together for a customer order, it's always important to apply the discount first, before applying the loyalty points discount redemption next. This will give the customer with the best possible discount for their order.

For example:

  • If customer order is $100

  • 10% discount is applied so order total is now $90

  • 1,000 loyalty point discount for $10 off is applied so total is now $80 ($20 off)

This is the best way to apply discounts as opposed to:

  • If customer order is $100

  • 1,000 loyalty point discount for $10 off is applied so total is now $90

  • 10% discount is applied so order total is now $81 ($19 off)

As you can see, the first discount method applied a better discount for the customer.
